My name is Susan, a qualified secondary maths teacher, conversant with the specifications of both Edexcel and AQA board. I am completing the National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders, as I continue my aspirational journey to become a Head of Maths.
I have worked in primary, secondary and community settings, teaching students in mainstream education and supporting students with special needs such as autism , ADHD and dyslexia. However, over the decade of tutoring, I have predominantly assisted students prepare for their 11+ exams, CEM and GL board.
My tutoring experience began at home! I studied a maths degree, whilst raising four children under the age of five. They all flourished in their SATs, all achieving 115+ in both Maths and English, and more recently, my eldest achieving grade 9s in GCSE Maths, English and Science.
My ethos is to equip the generation of today with life skills, not just maths. To problem solve, to think critically and to reason quantitatively, are all underlying maths skills essential for everyday life!
